Mixed Media: Film and Embroidery
Documenation of the artist spinning thread from human hair and embroidering with the creation. The film features a woven narrative of the artists own story and a academic essay, read intertwined by the artists mother and grandmother. This work explores the significance of hair, drawing from dreams, memories, conjured tales and historical references of 17th century mourning rituals.
